New Delhi: A day after the opposition parties announced that they would be announcing November 8, the day of demonetisation as Black Day; the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely declared that his party will mark the day as anti- black money day across the nation.
All the ministers, BJP leaders and party workers will participate in the event.

Attacking the Congress over its critisism against demonetisation, Jaitley said that though the party had been in power for several decades, he can’t recollect even a single step they took against black money.
“The Congress had reconciled to the idea of India living with a shadow economy,” he added.

Meanwhile, Congress senior leader Azad on Tuesday asserted that demonetisation was an ill conceived and hasty decision by the government, and added that perhaps in the entire world, the government had to alter its policy 135 times within a month.

“The general public did not fully realise, or it could not foresee, the ramifications of demonetisation. They thought the Prime Minister might be correct vis-a-vis the objectives of demonetisation. But one year down the line, the people are realising the damage done by this ill-conceived step,” Azad said.

Azad told that almost every political party except BJP was willing to observe November 8 as Black Day.
