As five more rebel Karnataka congress legislators sought intervention of Supreme Court in the resignation drama ,the congress high command rushed its trouble shooters Kamal Nath and Gulam Nabi Azad to Bengaluru for damage control .

The five legislators told the court that the Speaker Ramesh Kumar was nit accepting their resignations inspite Of speaking and meeting him and sought protection fir their life and families.

The fresh development in ongoing Karnataka political strife came after BJP leader BS Yediyurappa to,d the speaker that his party wanted the no confidence motion to be taken up onMonday itself as the chief minister Kumaraswamy also wanted the same .

Meanwhile the Karnataka congress leader Siddaramaiah had succeeded in making one Legislator Nagaraj to relent and withdraw his resignation. But rest are very rigid and firm in their stand that Kumaraswamy government was doing any of their constituency development works .

The ball is back in the court and the Speakers pavilion once again. It is also likely to escalate the rift between Legislature and Judiciary as Speaker Ramesh Kumar is fuming at Court dictating to act on Rebels resignation. ‘I have to follow a procedure and assess whether their action is voluntary or political. I don’t belong to any groups and have no axe to grind ‘ he said on Saturday.
