Speaker of Karnataka assembly Ramesh Kumar says he was hurt by his MLAs approaching Supreme Court for protection and the courts direction to meet and hear the Rebel legislators plea for resignation.

Speaking to reporters after a 43 minute meeting with 13 rebel members who included 10 of Congress and rest others who rushed from Mumbai to meet him , the Speaker said the MLAs could Bhave approached him for protection instead of court direction.

He said he was not convinced about their resignation letters and asked them to meet him separately in the next few days to explain their reasons for resignation. ‘ The resignations can not be accepted right away ( over night) . But they are in order and voluntary and it would take time to legally accept them and would give report to Supreme Court by tomorrow.

The Karnataka assembly is meeting tomorrow amidst the crisis and take up major issues ?But the rebel MLAs returned to their safe hub in Mumbai . BJP legislature party is meeting tonight to take stock and likely to move a no confidence motion against Kumaraswamy govt .The congress legislature party
has issued a whip to all MLAs including rebels to be present in the house to tomorrow.

Earlier the Bengaluru citizens witnessed high drama of Rebel legislators rushing by special flight from Mumbai and the 12 kms stretch of route sterilised so that they reached Vidhana Soudha in time scheduled by Supreme Court. Rebels MLAs ran inside Soudha in full glare of TV cameras as if Speaker would go away if they were late .

The political crisis in Karnataka has deepened further with the Congress-JD(s) govt of HD Kumaraswamy hanging on fire since last ten days .If the resignation of all 14 rebels MLAs are accepted then Karnataka BJP with nearly 105 MLAs strength could stake claim to form government .
