Actor Praksh Raj, who has been making anti-Narendra Modi noises ever since the murder of Left-leaning journalist Gauri Lankesh, has said that he was not anti-Hindu, but was anti-Modi. Speaking at the India Today South Conclave at Hyderabad on Thursday, he said in a veiled reference to Gauri Lankesh murder that “those supporting killers cannot be called Hindus.

“They say I am anti-Hindu but I say I am anti-Modi, anti-Amit Shah and anti-Anant Kumar Hegde,” he said adding that Narendra Modi remained silent when he appealed to him to condemn those celebrating Gauri Lankesh murder.

Prakash Raj, actor and national award winner, has been one of the bitterest critic of the BJP and has come out into the open after Gauri Lankesh murder. However, BJP spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao, who was among the audience, protested these comments. However, Prakash Raj defended his comments saying: “When you can call me anti-Hindu, I have every right to say you are not Hindu.”
