Jaishankar holds bilateral meetings with Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Guinea on UNGA78 sidelines
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held productive bilateral meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Guinea on the sidelines of the high-level UN General Assembly session on Saturday.
In his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Jaishankar discussed the significant progress made in India-Egypt bilateral relations in 2023 and expressed India’s commitment to further deepening these ties. He also thanked Shoukry for Egypt’s support for India’s Presidency of the G20.
In his meeting with Guinean Foreign Minister Carlos Pereira, Jaishankar explored ways to expand India’s development partnership with Guinea and enhance trade and investment between the two countries.
Jaishankar’s meetings with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Guinea reflect India’s growing engagement with Africa and the Middle East.
